The Foundation of Anna Dahlbäck’s Memorial Fund has the honour of awarding the grant of SEK 50,000 for year 2019 to the lawyer and human rights defender Ms Gaby Lasky.

The Israeli lawyer Gaby Lasky has for years fought for the basic values of democracy. Her ambition is to strengthen human rights and the rule of law in the conflict between Israel and Palestines.  In her profession she takes on controversial cases, defends both Palestinian and Israeli clients and litigates with great juridical skill. Her efforts to back up Israel´s movement to bring a more peaceful society into being have caused her harassments and threats. 
In accordance with the regulations of Anna Dahlbäck’s Memorial Fund 
Gaby Lasky has shown strong engagement and courage to stand up for equality and justice.
